Dear Neighbors,

My name is Anna, and I’m the founder of BM Corner, a GCCC Licensed Vietnamese eatery right here in Pimpama at 53 Collingrove Circus.

For me, food has always been more than just sustenance—it’s about love, tradition, and connection.

A Family Legacy Rooted in Food

I grew up in Vietnam in a family where cooking wasn’t just a skill; it was a way of life. My mother, an extraordinary cook, could effortlessly prepare any Vietnamese dish to perfection. She taught me that the secret to delicious food isn’t just ingredients, but the intention behind it.

She inherited this philosophy from my grandmother, who is now over 100 years old, and has passed it down to me. My 65-year-old mother still follows a lifestyle centered around fresh, home-cooked meals, with a deep respect for food as nourishment. Their love for gardening and using fresh ingredients has profoundly shaped the way we cook and eat.

From Sustainable Farming to Vietnamese Cuisine in Australia

Inspired by my family, I pursued Plant Sciences and later earned a Master’s in Sustainability from the University of Adelaide. Before moving to Australia, I co-founded HamaVillage, a 30-hectare sustainable farm in Vietnam, where we grew coffee, avocados, and black pepper using eco-friendly farming methods.

Bamboo Boat – The Soul of Vietnamese Cuisine

My journey in food goes beyond cooking. In 2013, I founded Bamboo Boat Fish Sauce, preserving the traditional way of making artisanal fish sauce and shrimp paste—the heart of Vietnamese flavors. Many call me the Fish Sauce Queen, and this sauce is the secret behind every dish we serve at BM Corner.

BM Corner – Bringing Authentic Vietnamese Flavors to Pimpama

In 2024, my younger brother Loc and I established BM Corner, a place where we share our love for authentic Vietnamese food with the Pimpama community.

Loc, a TAFE Queensland graduate in Kitchen Management, is now a chef at a five-star hotel in Hope Island. Together, we pour our passion into every dish, from crispy spring rolls to soul-warming Phở, refreshing Noodle Salad, and flavor-packed Bánh Mì.

Every Saturday & Sunday morning from 8:00–10:00 AM, we host Taste of Vietnam at our home, 53 Collingrove Circus, Pimpama.

Neighbors gather to enjoy Spring Rolls and Vietnamese Coffee—on us! ☕🥢 But this is more than just food—it’s a chance to connect, share stories, and build a community.
